Alaskan Yellow Cedar Rainscreen Cladding DTC27

Profile Information

Splayed Cladding or also known as Rainscreen Cladding is made up of rhomboid shaped boards equally spaced apart to form a decorative appearance. Unlike most other types of cladding, splayed boards are not interlocked or connected which means that the cladding is not waterproof. Timber Species:
Alaskan Yellow Cedar

Yellow Cedar is one of the world’s most durable woods. It is resistant to corrosion and decay and offers natural resilience making it is ideal for Cladding and Fencing. It has a distinctive, uniform pale yellow colour and is fine textured and straight grained. It is very stable and shares virtually all the characteristics of Western Red Cedar. It takes UV stains and oils well and can look a lot like Red Cedar once finished with a tinted stain.
