These boards are character grade, boasting rich natural figuring, knots, swirls and clusters. With eye-catching variance in colour, you’re assured of a rustic, lively look. These character boards can also contain beautiful silver flecks — also known as medullary rays.

Thanks to the European Oak’s elegant, universally-beloved golden brown colour, it is at home in any traditional or contemporary space, but this grade works particularly well for period properties and country-style interiors. It is typically slighter darker than its cousin, American White Oak.
