Timber Species:
Painted Whitewood
Whitewood (Picea abies, also known as Norway spruce and European spruce) is a softwood timber with a pale cream colour, sourced from the forests of Scandinavia. With a smooth, even texture, this species has excellent strength properties and a medium density. The painted whitewood cladding in our range, machined to a feather edge profile, is popular for use on rural buildings, including Oxfordshire barns. A ubiquitous structural timber in the construction industry, whitewood is traditionally used in framing, carcassing and studwork, as well as for heat-treated timber products. Pre-painted black and ready for installation, this painted whitewood cladding can provide a cost and time saving for your next project.
