Rainscreen Cladding

Rainscreen cladding, also known as ‘splayed’, ‘rhombus’ or ‘open jointed’ cladding, is made up of boards that are cut at an angle. Once installed, they are equally spaced apart.

Unlike most other types of cladding, rainscreen boards are not interlocked or connected. This means that the cladding is not waterproof. For this reason, it must only be used in front of a fully waterproof surface.
