Chartex® is created by wire brushing the timber's surface, then applying a black stain — a factory-applied alternative to traditional Yakisugi (Shou Sugi Ban) charring techniques. With the trend towards grayscale and Scandinavian design, black cladding is increasingly popular on garden rooms and house builds.
