European Green Oak

Duffield Timber is a UK timber cladding supplier based in Melmerby, North Yorkshire, established in 1957. We supply 8+ species, 10+ profiles, and factory coatings including Burnblock® fire retardant, UK-wide and internationally.

European Green Oak

Our European Green Oak cladding is available in feather edge profile, rebated for ease of fixing. We produce this thicker than most on the market to safe guard against cupping. Also known as fresh sawn oak, green oak’s name has nothing to do with its colour, instead referring to the fact that the wood hasn’t been kiln dried and has been cut free from the tree. 

European Oak is regularly used in construction for oak-framed houses, feature trusses, porches, outbuildings as well as, of course, cladding. A naturally durable and distinctive traditional cladding choice for any project. 

European Green Oak is supplied wet and can have some mould bloom that can be cleaned or sanded off before fixing or just left to naturally silver
