Teknoclad Stone Grey & Structured Face - Thermo-Nordic Pine
Product Summary
Our Teknoclad cladding solution is a weather-resistant coating designed to give facades an even, pre-greyed appearance. The top coat also allows the wood to take on its natural grey tone underneath and as the coating gradually weathers over time, there are no noticeable transitions with the wood's natural greying process or appearance.

What to Expect
Teknoclad® Stone Coating
Your Teknoclad® coated cladding will start to blend and become slightly more opaque on exposure to UV as some of the fresh pigment starts to burn off. The robust top coat protects the cladding from dirt and mold whilst providing a water repellent barrier.
The Teknoclad® coating will provide a service life of up to 7 years showing subtle signs of degrade and colour mellowing until first maintenance is desired or left to allow exposure of the naturally weathered timber without the need for maintenance

Species:
Thermo-Nordic Pine
Thermo-Nordic Pine (Thermo Pine) is thermally modified Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris), slow-grown in Nordic forests, heat-treated at around 212°C in a controlled, oxygen-free atmosphere. The process — no chemicals involved — improves the timber's durability to Class 2 and removes the moisture and resins that cause movement, producing a dimensionally stable exterior cladding board with significantly reduced swelling and shrinkage.
Slow Nordic growth gives the pine a tight, even grain, and thermal modification turns it a rich, uniform caramel-brown throughout the board — not just at the surface. Left uncoated, it weathers naturally to silver-grey; a UV-protective coating maintains the brown tone. Small, sound knots give it a more characterful appearance than clear-grade species like Thermo-Ayous.
Sourced from sustainably managed Scandinavian forests, imported and machined in-house, Thermo-Nordic Pine is available in a range of profiles for cladding and fencing projects of any scale — a cost-effective alternative to Cedar and tropical hardwoods.
