This robust variation on a charred product is created by wire brushing out the grain to create texture and visual impact with a coating of Coal black wood stain. This technique provides a better quality appearance and durability to traditional charring.

APPEARANCE
Thermo-Ayous has a soft and even grain pattern and virtually clear of knots. Coated in coal black with a structured face creates a modern and striking charred façade
COATING
Factory coated in Colourflex® - Coal.
MAINTENANCE
This coating can provide up to 5 years to first maintenance. All coatings require periodic inspection, clean and re-coat to maintain aesthetic appearance.

Thermo-Ayous
A West and Central African timber, Ayous is an innovative, natural hardwood product that is non-toxic, highly durable, dimensionally stable and provides a clear grade, virtually knot free cladding board.
With similar attributes to Cedar, Thermo-Ayous has undergone a thermal modification process using high heat in a controlled atmosphere to improve the durability of the timber as well as increase its dimensional stability.
Starting with a light yellow colour, Thermo-Ayous achieves natural, attractive mid-brown tones through a drying process that provides a finished product that looks exotic without hurting the environment, whilst meeting Class 1-2 durability class rating according to EU standards.
