Species:
Iroko
Iroko (Milicia excelsa) is a species from the west coast of Africa. A tropical hardwood with exceptional visual attractiveness, outdoor durability and strength, it is often regarded as the ‘Rolls-Royce of decking’.
The wood boasts an exotic mixture of golden-to-dark browns and is prized for its very close resemblance to teak — hence its other moniker, African teak.
Once machined and finished with a quality woodcare stain such as Owatrol Aquadecks, this timber really stands out and promises decades of top-drawer service life.
