Often called the 'Rolls-Royce of decking', iroko earns the name on performance, not just looks.
An African hardwood clocking in at 660kg/m³, it's heavy, abrasion-resistant and rich in natural oils, giving it excellent rot and insect durability even without regular treatment.
For this project, we machined the boards to our DTD2 flat & fluted profile. This is a 20 x 142mm board designed in-house, with smooth edges and a fine ribbed centre.
Once laid, the twin texture creates a subtle, repeating pattern across the deck.
The colour does the rest: honeys, caramels and golden browns that will gradually soften to grey as the deck settles into its surroundings.
