Structured Teknoclad in Stone Grey for Studio Elephant, Dorset

1 min read

Modern two-story house with gray vertical siding over a white base, large windows, and a steep sloped roof; stone patio and green lawn in front.

Earlier this year, we supplied Teknoclad structured cladding for this stunning contrast build on the south coast of England.

We were delighted to work with Studio Elephant - a London-based architects studio specialising in imaginative yet carefully considered design solutions. Their approach is client focused and context-led, balancing a pragmatic approach with innovation to 'redefine the everyday and ordinary'.

Angled view of a modern beige building with vertical siding and a window, set against a clear blue sky.

Renowned for its soft, clean grain pattern, Thermo-Ayous cladding was chosen to achieve the contemporary look and emphasise the contrast aesthetic.

We produced two of our popular shadow gap profiles - DTC15 (vertical shadow gap, secret nail) and DTC47 (double vertical shadow gap, secret nail) - and to complete the look, finished the cladding with a structured Teknoclad coating in Stone Grey.

Exterior of a modern house with vertical gray-brown siding, a large glass door and window, a light stone base, and a stone patio beneath a clear blue sky.

Our Teknoclad cladding solution is a water-based, weather-resistant coating designed to give facades an even, pre-greyed appearance. Pre-greying allows the wood to take on its natural grey tone. As the coating gradually weathers over time, there are no noticeable transitions with the wood's natural greying process.

The result is a uniform facade appearance, perfect for a contemporary look.

Four vertical wood texture swatches in grey tones labeled Sand Grey, Slate Grey, Concrete Grey, and Stone Grey.
We offer a range of grey coating solutions as well a bespoke options to suit any project.
