Western Red Cedar & Black Coated Thermo-Pine Cladding: Working with the Elements in Aberdeenshire

Hidden away in the north of Scotland, this contemporary residential project brilliantly combines functionality with a contrast aesthetic, creating a stunning modern build.

The natural reddish-brown tones of western red cedar cladding are contrasted with Thermo-Nordic Pine in a structured coal black finish – a robust variation on a charred product, creating a dramatic visual impact. 

The western red cedar has been coated with Colourflex Natural. This is a deep penetrating stain, engineered to blend with the tone and grain and provide UV protection to retain the natural colour.
