Accoya Cladding Front

Accoya® cladding delivers a beautifully understated, long-lasting exterior finish for this commercial unit project in Lincoln.

Factory coated in Colourflex Natural and machined to our popular vertical shadow gap DTC15 profile, the result is a warm, refined façade that slots seamlessly into the surrounding landscape.

Accoya® is one of the world's top-performing modified timbers. Produced through a non-toxic acetylation process, this product boasts a Class 1 durability rating above ground and is backed by a 50-year guarantee.

FSC-certified and made from sustainably sourced radiata pine, it is a responsible choice for eco-conscious specifiers and self-builders alike.

The boards were factory-coated in Colourflex Natural prior to installation.

Colourflex was specifically developed for use on exterior timber. A premium, flexible microporous coating applied under controlled conditions, the formulation allows the timber to breathe while providing a tough, flexible film that resists cracking and peeling as the timber moves seasonally.

The treatment provides a neutral, low-sheen finish that enhances the inherent warmth of the Accoya®. Factory application ensures even coverage, full end-grain saturation and consistent film build.

The cladding was machined to our DTC15 vertical shadow gap profile at 18 x 144mm (128mm cover).

Each cladding board features a precisely-machined groove that introduces a repeating shadow line that runs vertically on the façade, adding a pleasing visual aspect to what might otherwise be a flat expanse.

At 128mm cover width, the boards strike an ideal balance: wide enough to read as bold and considered, but not so wide that the profile loses its crisp, linear quality.
